My ‘GO TO’ Makeup

I love experimenting with make up, and trying new brands and products, however I must admit, when it comes to my ‘go to’ makeup, I play it quite safe, and tend to stick to the same old products.

(Jumper from Matalan – cosiest thing ever!)

Products Used –

  • Started with the Clinique moisture surge intense (apply this and leave it on for at 5-7 minutes so it has time to absorb into the skin, if you don’t do this and go straight in with foundation it’ll slip off a lot easier throughout the course of the day)
  • Foundation – Loreal Paris Infallible 24h (Not a massive fan of this as it’s not very durable, however it gives a good flawless look) in 522
  • Blended in with the real techniques buffing brush
  • Concealer – Collection 200 lasting perfection (absolute favourite concealer, beats all the others i’ve tested, high end and drugstore!)
  • Powder – Rimmel London Stay Matte in 002 Pink Blossom (I prefer translucent powder for an everyday look)
  • Applied with Mac 187 powder brush (Don’t sweep brush across your face as it only moves the foundation and takes it off, instead push the powder into your skin with the brush by pressing it in, as this pushes the product into your skin, thus making it more long lasting)
  • Eyebrows – Anastasia Beverley Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Medium Brown
  • Applied with Zoeva 322 Angled Brow Line Brush
  • Contour – Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit, ‘Banana’ colour to set my concealer, also down the bridge of my nose for highlight
  • Pressed on with pointed real techniques foundation brush
  • On the hollows of my cheeks Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit in ‘Java’
  • Applied with the Real Techniques contour brush
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit in ‘Fawn’ to contour my nose and forehead
  • Liquid Eyeliner – Zoeva cat eye pen in ‘Blackest Black’
  • Mascara – Rimmel London Bold Curves
  • And to finish, a bit of Mac lipstick in the shade ‘Shanghai Spice’

What is your favourite go to make up look?

Much Love,

Ellen Grace X
